Aion 2 Server Transfers: Everything You Need to Know

If you’ve been stuck in a queue or waiting to finally group up with the rest of your guildmates, relief is on the way. Server transfers are officially opening up starting October 14th, and will run for a limited two-week window.

To make sure you don’t get stranded on the wrong server, we’ve broken down exactly how the rollout works and what requirements you need to meet before packing your bags.

The Transfer Schedule

Because of the split between Early Access and Launch servers, the transfer window is being broken into two distinct phases to protect the fresh economies of the newer servers.

Week 1 (Starting Oct 14)

• Early Access ➔ Early Access: During the first week, transfers are strictly limited to moving between Early Access servers. If you started playing before the official commercial launch, you will only be able to move to other EA realms.

Week 2

• Launch ➔ Launch: Players on the newer commercial launch servers can move to other launch servers.
• Launch ➔ Early Access: Launch players will also have the option to move “up” to an Early Access server to join friends who started earlier.

Crucial Rule: “Early Access” does NOT equal “Launch.” If you have an Early Access character, you cannot transfer to a Launch server at any point.

Requirements & Character Limits

Before you initiate a transfer, make sure your account meets these requirements:

• Level Requirement: Your character must be at least Level 10 to be eligible for a transfer.
• Name Changes: When you transfer, your character will arrive with a temporary placeholder name. You will then be prompted to choose your permanent new name on the destination server.
• Unlimited Transfers: You have the option to transfer as many characters as you want! The only restriction is that you must have enough open character slots available on the server you are transferring to.

Coordinate with your friends and guild leaders this weekend, and make sure everyone knows exactly which server you are targeting for Week 1 or Week 2.

See you on the new servers!
