AION 2 Drops the Ban Hammer on Nearly 5,000 Accounts
The skies of AION 2 just got a little cleaner. In a massive weekend sweep, the development team has officially cracked down on bad actors, removing nearly 5,000 accounts to protect the game’s economy and ensure a fair experience for legitimate Daevas.
If you noticed a sudden drop in suspicious activity in your favorite farming spots, you now have the official confirmation. Following a rigorous review of in-game data and trading behaviors, the AION 2 team targeted organized operations that actively disrupt the community.

The Ban Wave Breakdown
- Total Accounts Banned: 4,996
- Enforcement Date: October 10 at 23:00 PDT / October 11 at 08:00 CEST
- Primary Offenses: Gold farming, bot operations, use of unauthorized programs (like illegal macros), and real-money trading (RMT).
- Economy Abuse: The sweep also eliminated accounts engaging in abnormal, market-manipulating trading patterns.
For the hardcore players out there, the developers have explicitly stated that legitimate, long grinding sessions are completely safe. Restrictions were only applied after thorough reviews matched behaviors against the official Operation Policy and Sanctions Table.
Account Locked? Don’t Panic Just Yet Alongside the permanent bans, the developers have placed temporary security locks on a small batch of accounts. If you find yourself locked out but haven’t been botting, this is actually for your own protection.
The system triggers these temporary locks when it detects a login attempt from a suspicious device or connection, pointing to a potential account compromise. This isn’t a penalty—it is a safeguard to freeze your account and protect your hard-earned loot until you can verify your identity. If you are caught in this security net, simply reach out to AION 2 Customer Support to clear your status and restore access.
